Thèa goes on a weekend trip!

This Friday we went on a trip to Morières, a village close to Avignon to visit Caro's brother Thierry and his wife Stella and their two kids, Carla & Jules (they also have a cat and 2 small cute rats). The weather was superb (34°) so I was very happy to have air-condition in my car keeping the temperature around 20°. Thèa was very nice all the way and slept most of the time.
Its about 400km to their place so I was happy that she did not scream... well, only a little when she became hungry but that was 5 minutes before the planned stop so no problem!
When we arrived it did not take long before we were swimming in the pool that they have - wonderful!

We went to see Carla who had a performance (singing) with some other kids and then had a nice dinner before going to bed.

The next day we all left to go to Montpellier to see some of the relatives on Caroline's mothers side. There was a family reunion and around 20 people invited. Luckily they also had a pool, frequently used by most of us. We had a great time and a big dinner with different types of sea food.

The night we spent in a cheap hotel but sufficiently good for us as we were just sleeping there a few hours anyway. The day after we spent some more time with everyone before leaving at around 16.00. One of Caro's cousins is pregnant and will soon have her baby so we had to give away a wagon and a car seat that we had had on loan. We now have got a new wagon that we got from Caro´s brother and then we just bought a new car seat as well for the trip home. This seat will be good as it can be used until Théa is around 1,5 years old or until she is around 18Kg.

The trip home went almost even better, we drove all the way from Montpellier to Bourg-en-bresse before Théa woke up. Then we just gave her something to drink (while driving) and she was fine again until arrival in Cessy. I guess she likes the new chair as well! ;)
The trip home took around 4 hours and the weather was excellent!

Yesterday (Monday), Caro bought a little inflatable boat that we put some water in so that Théa could have a bath in our garden, she seemed to be very happy for that! :)

Thèa is smiling alot nowadays and she has started to charm us more and more, in fact I think that sometimes it's almost like she does it on purpose.
It is sometimes a little bit difficult in the evenings as she often screams a lot before going to bed but all in all she is such an adorable kid, happy, calm and beautiful.

Hi!

Almost a month has passed since my last entry in the blog. We have been quite busy and the internet connection has not performed very well either.
Anyway, there are some news... first of all Théa has now become a Swedish
citizen. We got the papers from swedish authorities and can now go on and apply for a Swedish passport as well. :)

Théa is continuing to grow and has now gained quite some weight: 4640gr the scale measured this Thursday. She is now 56cm long and drinks about 180ml of milk every now and then. This means her weight/length -ratio is just right and she is now within the normal weight/length -curves for babies around 3 months old.

Yesterday Théa got 2 vaccinations, one in each leg. So yesterday she probably had a small pain or a little fever because she was crying very hard for no obvious reason.

We are very happy though that she is a good sleeper, we can now put her in bed between 20:30 and 22:00 and she will sleep the whole night alone in her room, she does not need a lamp or anything and she will sleep until 07:00-08:00.
